When you say goodbye
When You Say Goodbye
BY: Jean Pullman
I met you in a restaurant.
I didn’t even want to stop
But then you looked my way and you asked me for my name.
I heard your voice and I melted,
I couldn’t believe your touch when I felt it
But now you have to leave,
And inside I start to bleed.
CHORUS
When you say goodbye
You make my heart cry
When you say hello
You make my pain go
So please don’t say goodbye
No please don’t say goodbye.
For if say goodbye,
Then I just might die.
We’ve been talking for awhile
When I see you, you bring out my inner child
I wish that I could be yours
But, one problem you have a girl
A girl who’s suppose to be your girlfriend
Instead of filling she rips your heart wide open
You come to me and cry about your love
She I wish you’d get rid of.
CHORUS
When you say goodbye
You make my heart cry
When you say hello
You make my pain go
So please don’t say goodbye
No please don’t say good bye.
For if you say goodbye,
Then I just might die.
I don’t know what to do
Because I am helpless without you
I no longer want to say goodbye
I no longer will let you cry
I will show you a love so true and pure
That you’ll want nothing to do with her.
CHORUS(different)
I’ll bet she’ll hate when you say goodbye
You’ll make her black heart cry
You leave and now when you say hello
I know that you won’t let me go.
