One Rainy Night
One night
the sky began
to darken
thunder crashed
lightening
flashed
the wind blew
violently
disturbing the
calm.
Within a heart
was being
twisted
tearing apart
too many clouds
too much rain
had fallen
a connection
was breaking up
not to be
repaired again.
When the sun
finally appeared
it was late
the damage had
already taken
place
No, nothing would
ever be the same.
