One Season
I look upon the window
And what do I see;
A group of shirt sleeved children
Playing merrily.
Snow covers posh pink roses,
Though they seem not to care.
Peach blossoms battle autumn’s leaves
As I sit here and stare.
The tumult is grandiose
Fourth of July with Yule tree.
It’s confusing, but I understand,
As I give thanks on brittle bended knee;
At my ripened age, one season will do for me.
