This Misfortune
For me it was being locked up,
Yet being set free it was for her,
When the odds did determine pace,
Against all odds I stood for her,
In her deepest fears I was aside,
In her unbearable conditions,
My shoulder I never spared for another,
I would jump into fire for her,
Swim the oceans for only her,
The life of an invisible man,
The efforts she never saw,
The love she never appreciated
I have to carry the pieces of my heart
Mercilessly and ruthlessly destroyed,
How could she be so heartless,
Sending me to fetch water,
With a leaking bucket,
Towards a waterless well,
Did I deserve that in reciprocity,
I walked miles and miles,
Jumped heights and heights,
For her I was bold to do,
Moved by the truth in my heart,
To love her when she hated me,
To carry her when she was down,
To lay a hand when she was drowning,
It wasnt manly enough she proved,
I wasnt complete she did prove
She deserves better I assume,
I never gave her I she wanted,
But all I had I spared for her,
Those few chances and opportunities,
Time I did try to create,
I was too outdated for her,
Dinner at home not on motels,
She wasnt interested was she,
Her love went with the wind,
So shall I look back upon days,
The moments we shared,
The laughters we had,
Gone is the almost lover
I can still feel that scent of yours,
In my nostrils the sensation I get,
I will remember the arabic nights,
You left me desolated in a state of misery,
But I will always take you from misery,
Seeing me burning with fire before you,
Pouring the water you had on the floor,
But I will never leave you ablaze,
Seeing me in pain and torture,
Smiling and finding joy in it,
Becoming a hopeless dream to me,
Leaving When I had plans for us,
Drained by the waters of misfortune
