Pagan Dance
Open fire roar,
illuminate or stage.
Fluttering bats
an abundance.
Stars twinkle their applause.
Entertaining the cosmos.
Croaking bullfrogs out of tune.
Field mice,
midnight matinee.
No curtain call.
Vail of dew adorn meadow grasses.
Glisten the sheen,
by early light
dawn
breaks.
Robin sings out,
presentation over.
Our duet at an end.
When full again,
dance among the trees.
Unconventional recital.
Magical performance.
So we dance
for pleasure
among nature.
Primitive pagan dance.
Your hand,
I ask
dance.
