Deep Seawater Eyes
Oh how I covet him, beloved child
With deep seawater stare and beguiling smile
Barely a pre-teen, yet he appears in my dreams
A euphoric Don Juan Demarco
For I was a child, and he was a child
In this region of Piedmont green
But the urge for an illustrious golden maiden
Captivated him away from me
Although his locks still tug my heart
My diamonds are in drought
The shadow that lingers in the past
Will be clung to him without a doubt
Oh how I still intrinsically love him, angelic demon
With teen heartthrob dress and egotistical gait
Though long ago I've ceased to wait
On a fancy that will never kiss me
So I lie down on this Piedmont green
Chased, rather haunted, by my ethereal dream
Nobody can dissever my shadow from the shadow
Of my exalted eminent Marquis
Because the stars do not rise without me dancing in the deep seawater eyes,
Of the boy that will never love me
