Mother Nature's Floor
A sheen of sparkling frost across the grass,
Crisp 'neath the feet.
Sun shafting through the trees, like shining brass,
The rime to greet.
Sleepy, unhurried thaw on bright green blades,
Moist melted dew.
As life begins awakening through the glades,
Day to pursue.
Such startling beauty fills the eyes with awe,
Each glint, a jewel.
Laid out in splendour on Mother Nature's floor,
Constant renewal.
