The Convent
I think of all those convents
where all of those women are.
Is there peace in their minds
by praying from afar?
They're all walled in
praying for our sin,
never having babies
and giving up their kin.
How many brides can Jesus have?
Not that many I'm sure.
Would they not be happier
outside that walled in door?
They cook and clean.
They pray and teach
and piously feel
that they must preach.
But how can they
do a Godly duty
when they're out of touch
and only see beauty?
Outside the walls
the ugliness breeds
while they're just praying
using rosary beads.
Well maybe they're better off,
better than we
that have to face
all of the misery.
