The Woman as a Good Mother is Simply Great
All the flowers I may give,
Can’t make up for your love you gave,
When I was just a new-born child,
Dependent, defenseless in this world!
All the kisses I may plant
Can’t make up for those you gave me,
In times of joy and in distress,
And when I felt lonely a kid!
All the embracing I make
Cannot annul your caresses,
Encouraging, appreciating,
For the little things I did!
All the prayers I offer
Is dwarfed by your life-time effort,
In times of strife, while I was ill,
And hymns to God as thanksgiving!
All the love I may repay
Is naught, compared to what you gave,
While in your womb and afterwards –
My precious mum, you are so great!
Dedicated to all good mothers on Mother’s Day
