The Month of June
The month of June brings wind that’s strong,
Which blows fiercely for long;
Through narrow lanes, it howls and wails,
Clapping aloud, boat-sails.
The trees both tall and huge too sway,
By wind’s brute force all day;
The leaves and twigs are carried high,
And heaped by road-sides dry.
The rain though scarce is pleasant, oh,
And cleans the wind and bough;
And all turns calm quite suddenly:
The wind loses fury.
The month of June’s when all schools start;
And children all books cart;
They wear new shoes and uniforms,
And learn as per new norms!
