Freedom As A Wife
Can i be with you and not loose me?
If you had my heart, would i still be free?
Or would i live in bondage, bound to you?
Could all see me, would i shine through?
Been in a cage with no bars before
I was his prisoner, but not in war
My wings were clipped, i could not fly
Held captive for years, could only cry
Bound to him through fear and shame
I was his puppet, and it was his game
Robbed me of so many years
Scars on my heart, my souvenirs
So please if you want me in your life
Let me have freedom as your wife
Freedom to let me be me
This freedom i need, we have to agree!
