Dead Souls
The first rays of sunshine,
Spread a warm welcome glow,
Sugary amber light so delicately fine,
Sifting through my window,
Casting The Darkness from my mind,
With the hue of a refracted rainbow,
Dreams interrupted by spectrum squeeze,
Of Dawn's sensational forenoon show.
I awake floating on a summer breeze,
Riding a rippling wave of velvet heat,
Wind aroused by pietistic sneeze,
Apple blossoms whispered and coaxed from retreat,
As trees are shifted and uplifted by divine wheeze.
Rousing once dead souls,
From lucid lanquidity,
Birthing us like spring foals,
Slumber stirred beside me,
Awakened amongst the scented flowers,
With renewed esprit and energy,
Refreshed for the daylight hours,
Enabling you to walk the world happily.
