Fear
His head is all you see from the rubble:
the sun did not lose its luster,
the moon did not turn to blood,
nothing collapsed on or around him,
and the earth did not quake;
he is sunken by fear.
Governors twist his noble brain
with contrived terror on the tube.
He missed his neighbor's protection;
he is repulsed by their hue.
His motives are seen
by the All-Seeing Eye;
he hates the races
and loves the blues.
