The Real Me
The sparkling light above the sky
The reflection of a cloud, a silent sigh
A fleeting moment, a sparrow's flight
Dark and dreadful thoughts that fill the night
Like thunder, lightning, falling rain
Attempts to catch me are in vain
The shadow in your peaceful life,
Every time you cause a strife
I am that what God made me
But I am not really what you see.
I could fight but I´d hide
I should listen, but I´d rather glisten
I would tell you who I am
But you would turn your head and run.
For this is me, a golden mask
Forged from anger and my tears
Made to make me drown some fears
Shivering inside my core
A silent lark longs to soar!
